happy birthday h!

it's heath's birthday! we have a one year old! this year has been a whirlwind. all of you who have done the second kid thing are shaking your heads, knowingly. how in the world has a year gone by? in other ways though... it feels like forever. there was a time when heath was not part of our family? that doesn't seem right. heath came out of the womb wide-eyed and inquisitive and peaceful and those traits have, for the most part, remained. before it was our reality, the idea of two children seemed overwhelming and scary, and sometimes it really is those things, but it is also so fun. heath has given us a year of cuddles and smiles and shrieks and hand holding and our world feels so much fuller. happy birthday, sweet heath... we are so lucky to call you ours!
