breaking dawn: part deux

so... i am a blogging slacker, but it's not my fault. my blog would not let me download anymore pictures unless i started paying money! boo! matt did not want me to pay a monthly fee so now i am having to slowly remove the pictures from my blog and re-download them at a smaller size. pain in my rear end. seriously. not cool blogger, not cool. anyways...

this is it... the twilight saga has come to its thrilling conclusion. although i have been less than impressed with the movies, it is still sad when something ends. the last movie was shown at 10pm (what a really super nice idea!) and misty drove us in her minivan to the movies. it was seriously a little preview of her future, a van full of screaming girls.

per the usual, here is a little review. this does have plot spoilers, if you haven't read the books, but i will not give movie spoilers away about the end... you have to see it for yourself. just like matt did.

baby renesmee was soooooooo bad. so bad. why didn't they use a real baby? the computer animated thing just did not do the trick. goodness gracious. i could hardly get over it. the actress who plays older renesmee is unnaturally beautiful for a child. she is too much, but not in a bad way.

the sex scene with edward and bella was disappointing. they are both vampires now and things are supposed to be crazy, but the director went with super romantic... like they were both humans. boring.

i think my favorite actors are the guys that play charlie and aro. they win. jacob was better in this movie because i've realized that taylor lautner doesn't know how to act angry, but he is okay when he just needs to be mostly happy. kristen stewart is... still kristen stewart.

there is a crazy twist ending! crazy! i screamed for about five minutes, it was so good.

just like the end of the movie... here is a look back!

wreck-it ralph

we took beckett to see his first movie today. i know you are thinking he is too young and judging us, but whatevs he did pretty good. he wasn't big enough to keep the seat down, so that was annoying, but he wasn't scared at all of the dark or loudness or bigness of the screen. he got a small bag of popcorn, which he thought was very exciting and he was very chatty, but it was a kids movie and was packed with kids, so not a big deal, i think. kate and zac met us at the movie and b didn't know they were coming and he could barely handle himself when they walked in during the previews. he just really needed to say hi to them 500 times. he made it through about an hour of the movie before he started to get restless and i had to take him into the lobby to run around and be free and talk loudly. also, we saw wreck-it ralph and it was pretty cute, although i wasn't in love with some of the language they used. obviously not bad words... just like "shut up" and stuff. it was good otherwise though, especially if you're familiar with arcade games.

trick or treat!

i can't handle how excited i was to take beckett trick or treating. i just looked at pictures from last year when beckett couldn't eat candy... or talk enough to say trick or treat... or even walk and we had to hold him up at each doorstep. really, it was pretty ridiculous that we took him. this year was a whole new exciting world. we actually didn't get to too many houses because it took 10 years to get from door to door with mr. independent. he wanted to walk alone and hold his own treat bucket and carry baby (of course) and it was pretty tiring for him. BUT he knocked on every door and said trick or treat (and thank you and happy halloween) and picked his own candy that he is now getting to eat! SO FUN! beckett went trick or treating with the same friends as last year and it is so crazy how much bigger they all are. i loved it. and it is just going to get better and better. i also made ryan read 10 little goblins when we got home and it was a perfect ending to trick or treating. beckett was running around like a crazy, but harper and quinn were totally into it. halloween is so fun, i can't stand it.

i assume i don't even need to mention the adorable fact that we did a theme with costumes this year. matt votes for star wars next year... we shall see!
