annual camping trip

oh yes! our camping trip is annual now... since we semi-accidentally went on the exact same weekend as last year. i really am not a camper... i want to be, i like the idea of it, kind of, but living in the dirt by choice is just a little hard for me. beckett loves it with all his heart, and i love him with all my heart, so i can let him have this one camping weekend a year. we found a ridiculously gigantic tent on craigslist (it has roomS), planned an overly complicated (but delicious) menu, packed every baby item we own into the minivan... and we were off! we went to a campsite that was just a little ways north from us and it was actually a camping and rv spot. i originally thought that was lame, but it ended up being really nice. for one, most of the people at the site were in rv's and had their own bathrooms, so the campground bathrooms were always super clean and empty. for two, there was miniature golf, a playground (where matt dropped quinn on his face... oh no!), and a swimming pool. for three, they had themed weekends, and we were there for reptile weekend (we didn't know that) and the reptile man came and brought so many fun animals! so... pretty much extra super fun stuff for beckett and quinn! i was a little nervous to have a tiny baby camping, but he was SO easy and slept straight through the night until 11am on both nights. oh heath, you are the easist and i am oh so grateful! all in all, a successful trip and we are excited for next summer with FOUR kiddos in tow! yeah! oh, you want to see a million pictures? okay! here you go.

just keep kicking

natasha's hubby, jon, used to be a soccer coach at lil' kickers... but now he is not. probably he misses it a lot. so, lucky for him, we offered to let him teach our tiny soccer stars. actually, jon so graciously agreed to teach some soccer lessons at the park over the summer, while the weather is just oh so nice. so i organized it, and we met once a week and picnicked after each class and it was pretty fun. and now our kids are really great soccer players. they'll probably be trying out for the sounders any day now. so many pictures...

i can't even...
