i am thankful: part one

5 reasons i am thankful for autumn

1. pumpkins
i like to eat them... i like to go to their patches... i like to take pictures with them... i like to decorate with them... i like to carve them... i like their seeds... i like to bake with them... i think it is more than like... it might be love.

2. leaves
the autumn leaves around here are the most beautiful thing in the history of things. when i am driving around (and in general, i hate driving around) i could almost cry over how lovely it all is. really... almost cry. this is looking from my front yard. geez.

3. boots
i like boots for lots of reasons. they look cute with dresses and tights and with jeans, which is oh so versatile of them. also, i like wearing shoes with heels because i am a shorty and it makes me look a little less ridiculous standing next to matt... and boots are heeled shoes that aren't fancy pants. it's a nice upgrade from my trusty flip flops of every color. whitney found me these at a thrift store. yay!

4. cozy drinks
i realize you can have warm drinks all the time, and i do, but isn't a nice hot chocolate with whipped cream, or a delicious chai latte better on a blustery fall day? like so much better. especially in the evening... curled up on the couch... by the fireplace. oh man, i know you're feeling it too. here is a throwback to my old starbucks date, hana.

5. faaaaaaaall back
i thought i might hate daylight savings time with a baby, but i still love it. i like feeling like i have an extra hour and i actually like that it gets dark earlier. that way if you have people over in the evening, you can light candles and not be as stressed about dust that the sun shows, like a jerk. plus, things are just more fun at night... more of an event. and i like it for matt... so he doesn't have to leave for work in the dark! it's a delight. um... i don't know what kind of photo to put for this. here is b with natasha at big brunch at church, which we were on time for because b was up early because of daylight savings! yeah.
