well, try not to die of shock, but i took pictures of the boys in halloween jammies on all hallows eve. you know, like every other october 30th since the beginning of beckett's existence. halloween is just really the best time of all the times. it's too good.

christmas card photos

we walked over to a little bridge in the woods by our house to take some pictures of the boys together for our christmas card this year. it was a little tricky because the bridge is not a random decorative woods bridge... it is an over a river bridge and people kept coming by and needing to use it. really though, why are so many people out biking and dog walking and jogging on a chilly, damp, afternoon? darn you pacific northwest and all your active lifestyle inhabitants. anyways, pictures with two kids is hard. if we could actually get heath to sit still and be facing the camera, beckett would be making a super goofy smile. it turned out okay though, because they both just have really cute faces.

another night before halloween jammie photo shoot you say? well, okay then. and this year with two children? well, if we must, we must. i love these sweet as candy boys and i love halloween. and i love holiday jammies. and i love holiday eves. and flashbacks. and traditions! meh. that's a lot of love. happy all hallows eve.

hey brother

beckett was the most, most precious meeting his brother for the first time. saige brought him down to the hospital and he just walked right in, in his big brother shirt more than ready to introduce  himself to heath. when he got to hold him, he was nothing but smiles. i think beckett (like the rest of us) couldn't believe that this new baby was actually here after such a long wait. also, seeing beckett stare at his new baby brother made me feel like maybe my heart would explode. it is crazy to think that now they will just always have each other, a special lifelong relationship created just like that. this people... is why i want 100 children. anyway, beckett brought heath a new ugly doll for his room and heath considerately had brought a gift (from the womb?!) for beckett. and now we have two boys that will hopefully become best friends and our little family is feeling a bit more complete. it's lovely.
