the great wheel

before the thelens left we went on a family date out to dinner and to do the seattle great wheel. the great wheel is a giant wheel that sits over the water and you go around in a little enclosed cart thing. beckett loved it. matt and heath were neutral. i am proud to say, i did not have a panic attack... i only considered it. i don't know why rides like this freak me out so much, but they do. don't even get me started on the one at california adventure. it's like a metal cage of death. anyways, it was nice to have some thelen time and i took some terrible pictures... my camera is no beuno in the dark.

the thelen bbq

the thelens came to visit for their annual summer trip and had their annual "see the thelens" party, hosted by the haights this year. i was a pretty bad photo taker. you will notice that there are no photos of marin! gosh, i'm a monster! she kind of looks like a small gianna... so you can imagine. jenni was an even worse photo taker and then she lost the photos she did take when she decided to take a little swim with her phone in her pocket. you will also notice that whitney has a camera in her hand in one of the photos below, but nobody is ever going to probably see those pictures, including whitney. anyways, good pictures or not, it was still a fun time and we do have documentation that jenni got to meet heath and we did get to hang out and see our besties. i love the thelens visit, but i would love it even more if they would stop visiting and start living here again. get on that. thanks.

a thelen bbq

the thelen's hosted a bbq at the samena swim club before they left forever for the other side of the world. well... maybe not forever. and maybe they were leaving for oregon. per the usual, my photos will make it appear as if there was only children at this party. at least i was there, taking pictures. please notice quinn and beckett's awesome crab and stingray pool toys. best $3 i ever spent. also please notice how terrible my child is at hitting a pinata. i guess you can't really see it in the pictures, but you can just trust me. that's pretty much it. we miss you already thelens!
