family photos
we took a little family trip to reno and while we were there had professional family photos done by our good friend, nick and his wife, anna. that was worded weird. anna is also our good friend. ha. everything kind of came together last minute and now we're all a little sad that not all of the siblings were there for the photos, but we did have all the grandkids together. so that's something. we took the photos up at squaw in tahoe and i think they turned out just really wonderful. here are a few of the pics (maybe more than a few) and i only included ones with our immediate family in them although there were lots of really great ones that we're not in, of course. per the usual... i highly recommend nick. click the link below to check him out.

family photos!
i begged nick dunne to come up to washington with his family so we could get some family photos done. also, we wanted to see their faces. also, the photos. per the usual, they did not disappoint. i loved them all and i just really cannot recommend nick and anna enough for pictures. i don't even know what i will do if i ever stop being able to pressure them into coming and taking photos of my family. cry and cry and cry and because we are friends they will feel bad and come. so, that's good. below is a link to nick's website... so just go there and contact him about photos and get them done and be happy about your wise choices in life. also, look at us being an adorable family of four! hurrah!

maternity photos
the dunne family came up for a visit to photograph a wedding (that i helped with day of and it was beautiful) and it was just oh so convenient to have nick take some maternity pictures. i was a big, huge butt head during the session. i am way more uncomfortable at the end of this second pregnancy, and we were wrangling a toddler for pictures, and the weather was really not cooperating. i really wanted spring like photos...outside, somewhere in a flower field or meadow or some other ridiculous place and it was just raining and raining. and i just moped around complaining about my hair frizzing and the weather being the worst and how disappointed i was in everything... including a rainbow that came out. yes. i hated the rainbow. anyways, i apologize to my family and nick for being a monster. luckily, nick is really very talented and the pictures still turned out great and you can't even tell how grouchy i was. so... you should be even more impressed with these photos. here are some of them... i had trouble picking, that's how much i liked them. thanks for the pictures and for not punching me in the face, nick!

nick is thirty
the dunne family was in town visiting the last few days because nick came to shoot a wedding (katie and travis! travis is whitney's little brother!) and nick turned thirty while he was here! so exciting! saige anna planned a party for him at alki beach and it was super fun. they had a beach bonfire and we made s'mores. i ate so many my stomach hurt, but no regrets. i tried to take pictures of not just kids, but i am just terrible at it. kids are just really cute no matter what. and there were a lot of kids there! annnnd... the friendos were reunited and it felt so good. they had to do a lot of friendly wrestling and being thrown around. we were so happy to spend some time with the dunnes and i hope the trip (and this blog post) makes them miss seattle terribly and they move back. just kidding, but not really. the dunnes left the birthday bonfire and drove straight through the night back to napa. whoa. they're wild. here are really too many pictures, but i love them all!
