bainbridge island

last weekend we took beckett on his first ferry ride! he thought it was a super cool time. we went to bainbridge island... which is just pretty much small and cute. we ate ice cream and shopped at a local bookstore and enjoyed some small town charm. after the big day out beckett just passed out on the couch and took an awesomely timed six to eight o'clock nap. oh well. that's what the weekend is for, yes?

waverly beach park

we went and had a family picnic at waverly beach park (without saige... she was out of town) and matt and beckett had to go for a swim. we were totally unprepared for such things. no suits or towels or precious crab. they didn't care at all... boys are crazy. also they didn't care that the water was freezing. i tried to play it cool, relaxed... whatevs. really, it gave me a mini panic attack. i pride myself in being prepared. why do i lug around a giant beckett bag without a pair of emergency swim trunks and beach towel?! where do i purchase a mary poppins bag, so i can just bring my entire house with me? just kidding. it was totally fine. (you can't hear, but i'm crazy person laughing right now.)

the girls are reading harry potter. i am almost jealous of them... getting to experience it for the first time. and by almost, i mean super. 

we're going out wednesday: emp

the emp (experience music project) was having a special exhibit about all things fantasy. it was the coolest. there was stuff from game of thrones, harry potter, wizard of oz, the labyrinth, the dark crystal... and more! it is also attached to the science fiction museum, which is all fantasy too... really.

the girls had a playdate thingee for their new school at this park, so that worked out well.
