beckett and i attended mackenzie's graduation party which just feels a little bit crazy town because how is she even old enough to be graduating? to be fair, she just turned into a senior three quarters of the way through her junior year, so it did come a bit early. lonnie threw her a lovely graduation party by the kirkland waterfront (where she may or may not have had her very own baby shower years earlier). we are so glad to have known mackenzie all these years and to have watched her grow up into a real life adult. which means i'm a hundred now. whatever. it's cool. "congradulons" kenzie, we are excited for you and what your future holds!
i tried to find a real oldie of mackenzie, but i'm on a new computer with not many of my old photos. i did find this goodie, circa 2008 from a christmas party and a failed gingerbread house attempt. haha. luckily i don't think mackenzie has any plans on becoming like a construction worker.

saige's picnic party
when we got back from graduation in eugene, we threw saige a graduation open house. i decided to do a picnic theme... with saige's favorite lunch foods.
here was the menu!
chicken salad sandwiches
salami sandwiches
macademia nut butter & jelly sandwiches
individual fruit salad
individual avocado pasta salad
potato chips
flamin' hot cheetos (eww)
m'n'm cookies
oatmeal cookies (thanks natasha)
s'mores bars (thanks lonnie)
summer punch in mason jars (alcoholic)
beer
limeade
for decor i just used a lot of mason jars with wild flowers and plain white ikea frames with pictures of saige from college. i hung up her graduation cards and made a simple circle banner and the end. really, the trickiest part was making the circle labels for all the food. other than that, easy peasy. and i think it turned out really, pretty cute. and pretty saige-ish. i hope. she better not have secretly hated it. now, here are many pictures of the party set up and many pictures of saige with many party guests. oh! thanks to oma for helping out with the party. we wish you could have come and celebrated with us!
