grandpa visits

grandpa came to visit us for the weekend! grandma was supposed to come with him, but was sadly under the weather. we of course visited a pumpkin patch (if you come here in october, it's just going to happen, totally unavoidable) and carved our pumpkins that evening. we did some other things during the weekend, but i did not document them. we love, love, love to have visitors and beckett and heath are so excited whenever family comes. grandpa should probably come back soon and bring grandma with him... since she missed the pumpkin patch! tragedy! here are too many pictures of pennebaker boys in pumpkins. this patch is SO picturesque... there are just no ugly views here people. 

garden d'lights

we took an evening trip to garden d'lights because it's the thing to do. heath was being a real butt about sleeping and after being a fuss bucket almost the whole way there, he fell asleep moments before we arrived... so i actually stayed in the car with sleeping heath. it's all good though. here are a few pictures matt took.

country village

grandma and grandpa came to visit, so we decided to go to country village to look at the contestants for a gingerbread house decorating contest. if i'm being honest (and i am) it was a little disappointing. i don't know who had made these houses, but i think (i hope) it was not professionals. the good news is that i love country village with or without mediocre gingerbread houses. we got a new top knot hat for heath at the kate quinn store... top knot hats for life!, we saw some reindeer, beckett rode a horse, we had cozy drinks, and the grinch was there. beckett found the grinch terrifying, but not so terrifying that he wouldn't go up to get a hershey kiss because you know. chocolate. so... still a fun day? i think yes. 

pacific science center

we also went to the pacific science center with grandpa and grandma. phew... busy little trip! thanks for visiting us!
