in the morning we went to the bothell parade. whitney got there about two days early so we would have seats. people seriously had lawn chairs set out on the side of the road days in advance. what? people be crazy. the parade was fun, especially for the kids who were in it for the candy... and there was a lot. it was a looooong parade and it was hot out, so i was not one bit sad when it ended.
after the parade we went to the friske's house for a bbq. beckett loved running around like a crazy person and eating a hundred raspberries off of the bushes. beckett loves picking berries. i don't even want to think about how many spiders that kid has probably eaten. the friske's have like a bunch of tiny shed house type things on their property... so they are making one of them into a play house. fun! the big kids (beckett is now a "big" kid?! ha!) locked themselves in the playhouse for hours and we could just hear them scream laughing in there. i tried to go take pictures, but they did not want people opening the doors!
we went home for a small rest and to change into warmer clothes and then over to the kreitlows for s'mores and sparklers. elisa and i decided to dress like twins for the evening because we are weirdos. just kidding... it really wasn't planned.
then we went to maltby assembly for the firework show. it was SO good. you are wasting your time going anywhere else! we were definitely all wiped out after such a big day, but everything was so fun and definitely worth it! happy independence day! (ignore heath's face in our family picture... oh my word.)
