we went downstairs and heath got to open up his gift from beckett, which had been very carefully selected for him. have you guys heard of tsum tsums? they are these little stuffed animal ball versions of pretty much every disney character you can think of. beckett almost had a nervous breakdown choosing which two to get for heath. there were over 50 options. you'll see in the end, he chose mickey and pluto. good picks, i guess. heath also got a water table to use on the patio from oma and uncle jack. of course the weather was being dumb, so i filled it with water in our kitchen, which ultimately turned into a very slippery, poor choice. it is super fun, though.
matt took the morning off work and we took the boys to skymania. it was heath's first time and he loved it. he just scurried around like a little maniac. thank goodness matt came with us because beckett's allergies were trying to murder him and we had to alternate between playing with heath and sitting off to the side with train wreck beckett. blarg. then matt went to work and i took the boys to pick up trophy cupcakes!
the afternoon was pretty chill... lunching and napping and measuring tiny heath on the ruler! he is FIVE inches shorter than beckett was at age one. goodness gracious, what a peanut. saige and holly came over for dinner (grilled cheese... one of heath's favorites) and cupcakes. we face timed with lots of family during happy birthday and even though heath clearly had no idea it was his birthday and thinks we are a bunch of crazies probably, i think he had a pretty good day.
