since yiayia and papou are missing beckett's birthday, they decided to do an early birthday dinner for him. papou went and got some party decorations and cupcakes. beckett loved it all. he is not one of those babies who is scared of the limelight. he loved being sung to and the candle and eating the cupcake. it was some very good practice for his big day... which is exactly one week away! oh. my. goodness.

a horse is a horse
we walked down to walden's coffeehouse a few days after christmas for breakfast and stopped to see some horses on the way. we brought them carrots to eat, but beckett was more interested in keeping the carrots for himself then sharing them with the horses. he also thought the horses were gigantic goggies. next time we are in reno it will probably be time for b to take his first horse ride. fun!
three ponds
while we were all in reno, we got to go check out kate and zac's wedding venue. it is about two seconds from yiayia and papou's house. i took a bunch of iphone pictures of the site, but now i think maybe it should be a surprise. plus it looks totally different in the winter time. it is really beautiful though and i'm sure will be the fanciest this summer when they get married. here are some pictures of us there. i loved getting to check it out! also, there is a little house on the site that i imagine is probably the exact same as the little house bella and edward live in, in the woods.
fancy ducks in the frozen pond
us!
allie is so excited to see me! okay, maybe it is beckett she is after. see the little hand?
papou... you are crazy
cooper came to see the site too
bride to be doing some serious wedding talk
i love these boys!
old macdonald
grandpa and grandma came to visit from the bay area and brought beckett a pretty fancy, moving farm truck. he loves it.
christmas dinner
christmas evening allie and bob hosted a big family dinner. there were lots and lots of cousins, but beckett was especially in love with his second cousin, avery. she is three and very tiny (but don't call her little... she finds it very offensive) and beckett couldn't handle her. he had to give her one hundred hugs. matt cooked filet mignon (for 30!) and it turned out so delicious. everybody loved it. we also had twice baked potatoes and green beans and salad. everything was so good. i ate up every bit of my overflowing plate. we had a great time visiting with all the reno family (and some bay area family) and i hope beckett gets a lot more opportunities to hang out with his big fat greek family. oh yes! little yiayia (matt's grandma) did make baklava. nom nom nom.
