crafty crafterson
beckett and i worked on beckett's first (of MANY) craft projects yesterday for thanksgiving. it was b's first time with crayons and he did not love the way they taste, surprisingly. he kept picking up a crayon and carefully putting it in his mouth. he would instantly be disgusted by the taste and throw the crayon down, like he was insulted by it's hideous taste. he finally got into coloring a little, but did not like having his hand traced. the end result was still good though... check back tomorrow to see it! gobble gobble.
mighty-o donuts
when i was at breaking dawn with my friend anna, we started talking about donuts (of course) and she told me that every time she eats a donut that is not a mighty-o donut she feels dumb because she could be eating mighty-o. and i had never even heard of mighty-o donuts! well, obviously that called for an immediate mighty-o family date. i'll be honest, i was a little skeptical at first. mighty-o donuts are all organic (yay) and vegan (uhh...), BUT good news people, they are really really delicious! and you don't have to feel bad eating 20 of them or feeding them to your baby because they have no preservatives, no hydrogenated oils, no artificial flavors, and no coloring. hello?! what are these things made of? sawdust? maybe... but it is gooood sawdust. thanks for introducing us to mighty-o, dunne family. we will be back. a lot.

i am thankful: part three
5 things i am thankful they sell at trader joe's
1. trader joe's pumpkin pancake and waffle mix
oh my lord... it's seasonal so go get it right now. it makes the most delicious pancakes from a mix, hands down. the only thing better is made by my oma, and i don't think you can get them, sorry.
2. trader joe's fruit and cream yogurt
it is like the most magical consistency. my favorite is actually the vanilla.
3. trader joe's petite cocoa batons
these cookies are delish. i can easily eat a box in one sitting, in the car... on the way home. also, they are very affordable. nom nom nom.
4. trader joe's sweet potato frites
this is a crazy one because i don't like sweet potatoes or sweet potato fries. i like these though... a lot. they are goooood.
5. trader joe's turkey meatballs
the turkey ones are easily as good as the beef ones and so delicious to add to pesto pasta. or any pasta.
this was hard to narrow down. what are your favie trader joe's foods?

breaking dawn
of course i went to the midnight showing of breaking dawn. i was so sad to go to the last midnight showing of a harry potter movie and the twilight series is obviously no comparison, but it helps a little. thank goodness hunger games is coming soon. anyways, to fully embrace and celebrate bella and edward's wedding, whitney, anna, and i wore our own wedding dresses to the movie. great idea in concept... a little uncomfortable in reality. i actually had to change out of my dress right before the movie... the longer i went without nursing, the more... scandalous my dress got. and elisa showed up with a baby in her belly to embrace the movie also. probably she is going to name her daughter renesmee. ha. wouldn't that be the craziest?!
okay, my movie thoughts... (plot spoiler alert... but really, who watches these movies that hasn't read the books?)
taylor lautner is the worst actor ever. period. i challenge you to find somebody worse than him. how does somebody play a character for so long and not get any better... at all. how?!
the beginning of the movie was so weird and cheesy. i was seriously nervous, like even more than with the other movies. also, why did emmett look so chubby?
they did an amazing job with pregnant bella. she literally looked like she was dying. and like a skeleton. also, being weak and on the verge of death is a good place for kristen stewart's monotone acting skills to shine!
they did a great job with renesmee. she was a beautiful baby and looked big and alert, but not creepy.
this movie was a million times more mature than its predecessors. so much sex and graphic blood scenes. how will tweens watch this? side note... i want the black lingerie bella wears. it is the cutest.
the movie stayed very true to the book, which i always appreciate. and i shrieked several times as bella gave birth. i guess overall, i was satisfied? now just one year for the the not so thrilling anti-climatic climax.
