warrior dash

matt's mom came to visit for a week and started her trip up here with a 5k run called the warrior dash that she did with matt and john. zac and clay were up here too (for zac's sister's wedding) and zac and i took the boys to cheer them on. it was so dusty and so hard to tell where they were in the race, but zac eventually spotted matt on the top of a big water slide. i wish i would have thought to bring our big camera with the zoom, but sadly i did not. i am thinking maybe next year i will do the race too... we'll see. 

j and b

john came over for dinner and to exchange christmas gifts and drop off his new cat... to be catsat for christmas. she lived in the basement with saige for a week, since matt and b are both pretty allergic to cats. this is sad news because they both really like cats, even though we all know cats can be little snooty pants. anyways... here are some pictures!

we give thanks

besides starting the day with a treasure hunt, our thanksgiving was very low key. we still made all the thanksgiving regulars because we aren't crazy people and had john over for dinner. saige didn't come over because she hates us. just kidding. she celebrated thanksgiving in chicago with marcello. anyways, per the usual we have much to be thankful for. our health, our home, our family, our friends, and mini pecan pies. happy thanksgiving! 

john can fly too

for christmas we got john a gift certificate to i-fly and we went to watch him fly and go out to dinner. for some reason, john was with a group of kids and to us this was very, very funny. he was like a giant compared to everyone else. good times. and i still think this looks pretty fun. i would definitely try it if there was not a babe in my belly. probably. i also think there is no age requirement. like beckett could do it. i think maybe too soon for him though. too soon.

john came over for a christmas dinner and to exchange gifts... per the usual. i was a terrible picture taker, which is extra sad because we also exchanged our gifts with saige and i didn't feel the need to take a single photo of that, apparently. anyways, john got beckett a seahawks football and shirt and beckett loved it. here is one picture i did take. and throwbacks!
