willis tucker park

the kings moved a million miles away (i think it's maybe like 15 miles... pretty far) and so now we have a reason to sometimes venture up north to check things out. there is a pretty fun park with a water feature thingee really, very close to harper and sawyer's house. it was a good time to be had and we always love our time with the king girls. sawyer is starting to be very interested in heath. she is a very enthusiastic little helper.  

papa visits

my dad came up to visit us too and to meet his newest grandson. my dad has only daughters and only grandsons. weird! heath loved his papa, of course! here are some pictures from a little day trip to the park to feed some ducks. thanks for coming up to see us!

st edward state beach

you guys. washington is the most beautiful place in the history of ever. seriously. usually summer time is not my favorite time in washington because i'm crazy it gets too hot and stuff starts to look pretty dead-ish, but then we bought a state park pass and went to st. edward beach (which is like... 2 miles from our house!) and i was reminded that it is really still so nice here in the summer. the trail down was crazy lovely. the beach was crazy lovely. matt and b picked blackberries. ahhhh... i am seriously crushing on my state right now. also, beckett is adorable. and matt ain't bad either. woooo. 

waverly beach park

we went and had a family picnic at waverly beach park (without saige... she was out of town) and matt and beckett had to go for a swim. we were totally unprepared for such things. no suits or towels or precious crab. they didn't care at all... boys are crazy. also they didn't care that the water was freezing. i tried to play it cool, relaxed... whatevs. really, it gave me a mini panic attack. i pride myself in being prepared. why do i lug around a giant beckett bag without a pair of emergency swim trunks and beach towel?! where do i purchase a mary poppins bag, so i can just bring my entire house with me? just kidding. it was totally fine. (you can't hear, but i'm crazy person laughing right now.)
